Kaamanen

Village Kaamanen is situated by the road E75. This road goes up to north to Utsjoki and Nuorgam and from there to Norway to Varangenfjorden. From the southern side of Kaamanen there is cross road to north-east to Sevettijärvi, Näätämö and to Norway, Kirkenes. On the northern side of the village there is cross road to west to Karigasniemi and to Norway, Karasjok and Nordkapp

The people of Kaamanen village earn their living from reindeer herding and services. Nearby centre of Kaamanen village there is Inari reindeer research station and Educational centre of Sámi area.

At Kaamasjokisuu (south from Kaamanen village) there is a bird watching tower. For bird watchers Kaamanen with it surroundings will provide excellent possibilities to observe birds. In Kaamanen area there are two marked nature trails.
