Village Kaamanen
is situated by the road E75. This road goes up to north to Utsjoki and Nuorgam
and from there to Norway to Varangenfjorden. From the southern side of Kaamanen
there is cross road to north-east to Sevettijärvi, Näätämö and to Norway, Kirkenes.
On the northern side of the village there is cross road to west to Karigasniemi
and to Norway, Karasjok and Nordkapp
The people of Kaamanen village earn their living from reindeer herding and services.
Nearby centre of Kaamanen village there is Inari reindeer research station and
Educational centre of Sámi area.

which runs down to large Lake Muddusjärvi. At Kaamasjokisuu (south from Kaamanen
village) there is a bird watching tower. For bird watchers Kaamanen with it
surroundings will provide excellent possibilities to observe birds. In Kaamanen
area there are two marked nature trails.
In Kaamanen village man can have cottage accommodation, wilderness- and nature
