LEMMENLIEKKI CABINS

2004 & 2005

Lemmenliekki's six person log cabins are located ca. 45 km from Inari village on the border of Lemmenjoki National Park on the shore of the crystal-clear waters of Äivihjärvi Lake, teeming with fish, in close proximity to the Lemmenjoki River.

Lemmenliekki presently has four 6-persons cabins complete with living room, bedroom, sauna, washroom, and toilet. Each cabin is furnished with natural stone fireplace, kitchenette and microwave oven, crockery and cooking utensils as well as bed clothes. In the summer each cabin has its own rowboat.

In Lemmenliekki you may have motorboat trips to the tri-tiered Ravadas Falls in the summer as well as to the gold mining area gateway, Gold Harbour. There is a trail from there leading to the Maaresta Fell gold mining area, founded in the 1940's, from the streams of which prospectors still pan of gold. In the late spring you can take snowmobile or cross-country skiing trips to the nearby fells. Lemmenliekki is set in an excellent milieu for cross-country skiing at Äivihjärvi Lake and on the prepared tracks of Lemmenjoki, or for winter fishing, or climb to enjoy the landscape from the top of the Joenkielinen Fell.

Lemmenjoki is wonderful for canoeing and there are excellent possibilities for fishing and hiking as well.
