ANGELI

Angeli is a Sámi reindeer husbandry village located along the Inarinjoki River near the Norwegian border. It is a nationally significant culturally historical environment. The oldest buildings of the village date back to the nineteenth century. In accordance with Sámi traditions, the buildings are freely placed in a very wide area with regard to the terrain forms. One of the special characteristics of the village is the sandy dry heath land with low growing pine trees.
